The comment period on the draft bylaws closed on September 8. Members sent 47 comments; 31 led to changes in the text. The revised draft is in the shared drive, with a table showing what changed and why.
The Founding Assembly will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pacific Time, in Portland and online. Members can attend in either way, and every member has one vote.
The agenda will include:
- a report on our first year,
- a vote on the bylaws,
- election of the first Council,
- a decision on how new members will be admitted, and
- the work plan and budget for 2027.
Nominations for the Council are open until October 17. Any member may nominate themselves or another member, with their agreement.
