This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. Its fonts, images and scripts are all served from asru.org; it does not load anything from other websites.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical information about each request, such as the IP address, the date and time, the page requested and the browser’s identification string, under its own privacy policy. We do not keep access logs ourselves.
When you email us
If you write to us, we keep your message and your email address for as long as we need them to deal with your request, and then for up to one year so that we can refer back to the conversation. We do not add you to any mailing list.
When you become a member
The Secretary keeps a register of members with each member’s name, email address, country and date of joining, as our bylaws require. Members can choose whether their name appears on this website. The register is shared only with the Council.
When a member leaves, we remove their details from the register within 30 days, except for records the Union must keep, such as minutes of meetings.
Images members submit
Images submitted to the member image pipeline may contain metadata such as the time and place they were taken. We remove location information before publishing any cutout or derived data. See our data and image policy.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with anyone outside the Union except where the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to privacy@asru.org. We will reply within 30 days.
